- Q: Does InstaCare provide emergency medical care?
- A: No, if you are bleeding or otherwise require emergency assistance, call 911 immediately.
- Q: If I have an Instacare billing question should I call Customer Service?
- A: Please contact us by e-mail at support@instacare.com or call a Customer Care Specialist toll-free at 877-225-8596.
- Q: What if I just want to talk to someone and do not have a computer available? Do I have to use my computer?
- A: No, but use the computer when you can so our medical staff can better interact with you and see the issue you might be calling about. InstaCare™ offers a InstaCare™ Phone service at 877-225-8596. Without a webcam your physician may be limited in the scope of services provided.
- Q: What equipment do I need in order to take advantage of Web-Cam service? s?
- A: You'll need a computer with a webcam installed, and access to an Internet connection that can handle streaming video. Broadband is strongly recommended.
- Q: What is the cost to use InstaCare™?
- A: The base rate for using InstaCare is $48.00 per encounter. Documentation can be e-mailed or faxed for patient's re-imbursement
- Q: Do I need any special software to use InstaCare™?
- A: No, the software is free and can be easily installed and downloaded. You will need Internet Internet Explorer 7 and the latest version of Flash . Find more on Technical Support Information at the Help Page
- Q: Are the InstaCare™ doctors and nurses licensed to practice medicine just like my primary care physician?
- A: Yes, all InstaCare™ doctors and nurses are licensed practitioners. In fact, many InstaCare doctors have a physical practice in addition to their InstaCare™ office.
- Q: Can InstaCare™ doctors prescribe medicine?
- A: Yes, InstaCare™ doctors are able to issue non-narcotic prescriptions which can be filled by a pharmacy. You may have your prescription sent to your local pharmacy for pickup. Instacare™ is not an online phamacy.
- Q: Why should I use InstaCare™ instead of visiting a doctor in person?
- A: The average doctor visit can take up to 4 1/2 hours. At InstaCare we provide high-quality, cost-effective, and convenient professional service at half the price and usually less than 30 minutes.
- Q: Does InstaCare™ fulfill prescription medication?
- A: No, InstaCare™ is not a pharmacy. Any online fulfillment of pharmaceuticals is completed through an independent pharmacy.
- Q: How can I be certain InstaCare™ will provide quality care?
- A: InstaCare™ records a copy of each patient’s visit in its database. This ensures accountability for all parties throughout the process.
- Q: Is there any way to take advantage of the InstaCare™ services if I do not currently live in California, Texas, or Georgia?
- A: Yes, any patient can take advantage of our ability to convert existing medical records to EMR
